Greenock Sugar Sheds - Flashback

We're pleased to see so much interest and activity around the Greenock Sugar Sheds at the moment. From the Absent Voices project through to White Gold, alongside some other developments around parking and potential tourist trails. And of course the Sheds will soon be seen as the not very secret base of our local superhero team the Home Guard in a comic due for release later in the year. I still think there's real mileage in a cuddly Mr Cube...

It's been ages now (almost 3 years) since we tried to generate a bit of discussion around the sheds with the Keep Greenock's Sugar Sheds A Community Space Campaign (yeah, retrospectively, I really wish we'd chosen a snappier title too...) Lots of things have changed about the situation since then. Although the campaign page and blog are no longer a live thing for us, I was reminded this week of the rather snazzy meme poster work of the mysterious individual, who volunteered to do all the graphics for the campaign, including the logo which I still totally think should be used down there. I think I still have a wee stash of the Uncle Sam posters somewhere...

We've sneaked wee references to the sheds campaign into most things we've done since then, but this is from we were having more fun with the subtlety... Smashing. Enjoy...
